'As far as close as here' by Photographer Prissilya Junewin and Ale Ruiz-Zorilla was launched on Nowness. We we were commissioned to work on the Title Design and Credits for this short film, which explores the identity of the East and South East Asian diaspora.Tracing the journey of finding your identity through a new generations' reflections on assimilation, belonging and difference, they reveal how culture shapes our experiences. For the title treatment we wanted to test forms with an ingredient as the ink to guide our type experiments. In this instance we chose soy sauce, playing with the metaphor of nostalgia, joy and the fear of the unknown.
