Michel Khleifi is a visionary Belgo-Palestinian filmmaker who has dedicated his career to archiving Palestine and its landscapes as well as exploring identity and exile. His masterpieces are a true representation of his vision and show his dedication to empathy and his craft. We were tasked to design a website presenting his life’s work and making it accessible for people to watch. The colour palette of the website was derived from the landscapes portrayed in his films, representing the beauty and poetry of his work. We wanted the colours to contrast with the bold typography and calligraphy, representing the sincerity and activism of his films. The website structure was built to work in three languages: Arabic, English and French.
